The Energy Savings Trust estimates that the average conventional boiler is only 60% efficient, loosing over 40% of its heat as hot waste gases. A condensing boiler improves efficiency by taking back heat from the exhaust gases that are normally lost up the flue.

High efficiency boilers are at least 30% more efficient than conventional boilers and from 31st March 2007 it will be a mandatory requirement* for all households and businesses to install one when a new or replacement boiler is needed. * EEC Directive 2002/91/EC Dec 2002 - on energy performance of buildings. Condensing boilers come in a variety of sizes and options to meet customer's needs and some even can be wall mounted. They can simply replace your existing boiler and start reducing your energy costs immediately.

Condensing boilers can also be used in conjunction with solar panels further reducing energy consumption.

There are a host of other options that can be installed to further reduce energy costs. Purus Navitas will recommend what is best for you and what is the most cost effective. This may include the fitting of intelligent weather compensating units that help to adjust the inside temperature more in line with temperatures outside to simply fitting thermostatic valves to radiators.

Multifuel boilers
