A new system was designed to make 4 bedroom detached house circa 1890 property fuel efficitent as possible. The existing oil boiler was replaced with a Grant Vortex condensing oil boiler and thermostatic radiator valves were installed, a Danfoss boiler energy management system with a weather compensator, Grunfos Alpha circulator pump and programmable thermostats on each floor.

High efficiency gas boilers reduce bills by 30% per annum

A new system designed to replace a conventional floor standing gas boiler for a 7 bedroom detached house circa 1880.

The existing installation was replaced with 2 Atmos condensing gas boilers able to work in tandem for high demand. The unvented hot water cylinder was sited adjacent to the boilers for an efficient and fast re-heat time.

  

The system also incorporated a weather compensator to maximise the boilers efficiency in milder weather. We estimate a fule saving in excess of 30% per annum giving a good payback period.
